VAN CAN BE ARRESTED NOW!!!!

She just turned 18. Hehehehehe!!!

We had a great time in Van's birthday party today in Rialto, a restaurant I never knew existed, and is found in Casa Susana. Well to start off, today was a big tiresome day that only improved at night when we celebrated Van's coming to her legal age (she can drink and drive and be arrested now).

I had a test in POLISCI (political science) this morning, it was finals. We were supposed to read four freaking long chapters about parliamentary governments and how to be a good citizen, blah blah, which in all truth and honesty I actually enjoyed it, if only it weren't for a test. Feeling compelled to read it, I did, and so I did, for about 5 hours, yesterday. Then I went out after that to watch Hairspray with Ina, as something like a break. then I went back home right after to continue studying. As much as I tried to sleep early last night, I couldn't, there were too many distractions. I managed to sleep, however, it was almost 1, and I had planned to wake up earlier and study extra. So I awoke at 5 am. Terribly tired now, but I really don't care. Then at 7 I left for school, to take my final exams at 8. Because there was no traffic, we got there in a little above 20 minutes. So I went up Andrew and men, I really hate those elevators, this time mainly because I was alone (I have a sort of fear of elevators), and then when the doors opened I was my block mates all reviewing. after a while of quick review, we went inside our room. Our teacher came sort of late, but it was quite fine with me, anyways, the test would probably be short or something. I found the test sort of confusing and tricky at the same time, because I wasn't sure of some of my answers, however, I think I did ok.
I was done before 910 and went straight home from there. I rested the rest of the day and at 6 pm, I went to the mall to buy a gift for Van (I bought her perfume), and along in this excursion was Ina. So for about an hour we just frolicked around the mall checking out things we wished we could buy but knew we couldn't (ah!!! Capitalism!!). Then after a while we headed to Rialto. Me and Ina were the first (and later on we would be among the last together with Meg to leave), we saw Van, hugged, blah blah... talked...
Then the others began coming in trickles. In the roundabout, Annie, Ina, Nicole, Mariel T., Mariel C., Katrina, Gianna, Carla C., Carla (ME), Carissa, Ysa, Lianne, Teresa, Georgine, Meg, Justine and Ms Carillo. Over all I'd have to say we had a fun night, we all talked and laughed. I was especially happy, because i got to see people I haven't seen in such a long time (like Lianne) and we all made kwentohan about stuff, it was all really fun and it was really like a reunion of sorts.
So there was my day, which I considered a pretty good one. :P

Revelations Revealed... Sorta

While the sun is bright, or in the darkest night, no one knows, she comes and goes...

When you listen to Ruby Tuesday a lot, like I do (although its the Corrs Version), it makes me reflect on how much I'd like to be "free"... sorta... yeah... By free, I mean that I'd prefer a carefree life instead of one that could cause me so much stress and anxiety. I have not exactly had a time to breathe lately, and its horrible. No respite, no rest, and the stress is just unbearable, work, certain people, family and other aspects of my life are becoming heavy burdens to my being, and its affecting me in so many ways that I never knew of. Remember patience, I tell myself, and yet, the spell of this "pain" or whatever you can call it is just too much. I'd like to laugh. Smile. Be happy... gosh... I'm not really this emo most of the time...

Don't question why she needs to be so free...

If I become happy, DON'T DARE RUIN IT!!!

She just can't be chained to a life where nothings gained and nothings lost, at such a cost...

I would like it to be said that, although I'm not getting angry or anything, I really people and things that pull me back, can't they just let me grown on my own?

There's no time to lose, I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
Dying all the time lose your dreams and you will lose your mind.
Ain't life unkind?

Life is unfair, and the more inconsideration there is in the world, the more pain and suffering we all obtain from living, do we really need to make each others life hell??

Mere reflections... I am not EMO... gosh... yes... mere reflections

hey, this is lianne.. i'm "renting" carla's blog again.

for the 2nd hw, my most waste-of-time movie would have to be bottom's up. it stars paris hilton and the rest. the whole story is basically this: bartender's dad's restaurant is broke so he goes to L.A. to get rich. he stays with his gay uncle [whose only lines are the f word and a couple of other curse words]. one day, he meets the rich and famous paris hilton [what a shocking twist :-o]. he falls in love with her [another shocking development of the plot] while engaging into the typical scandalous/manipulative game common to Hollywood.

this is everything i was able to gather: the plot was typical, the script was very educational (i was able to learn a lot from the uncle's lines), the bf who's not likeable is actually the hot one (that's discrimination against good-looking guys..haha), and the only part i liked was when the bartender was performing tricks with the wine bottles. that's more or less the only scene i remember.

New Homework!!

No offense to those who loved the first installment of Harry Potter, but seriously the first movie was a waste of my money, I really hated it. I slept when I watched it, but unfortunately some one gassed the room and it stunk like anything, but that's not the main reason why I disliked it. The main reason would be that it was terribly boring and barely entertaining, I think the director did a terrible job and picked actors that, although they looked the part, didnt exactly act the part well. That's my most disliked film/movie of all time...

hey ms, this is lianne...i lost my blog coz i lost my email so i'll blog here for the meantime (thanks carla!)

for the hw, my fave movie is coyote ugly because i want to be a bartender someday. maybe for a side job only, as long as i can get tips from the generous drunks. haha..that's not exactly a bad way to make some extra money. anyway, i like how they show things that happen in real life (even though it was obviously coated hollywood style), like how people would do anything to reach their dreams. sometimes, they get there the right way but other times, they use a different route. others just follow whatever's laid out in front of them because they probably don't have much of a choice. and so that brings me back to the question i'll someday encounter: is my future career worth doing something that doesn't seem right just so i can achieve the success i want? should i consider that certain something as an opportunity to get ahead or just a distraction that will possibly corrupt me? because i really don't know how far i'll go to get what i want..haha

there.. the movie was nice and all that but i didn't like how they portrayed being a coyote as something "noble" or "respected". in real life, some people have to live with the shame that comes with pole-dancing or whatever..unless, of course, they enjoy doing that..in which case, they'll probably be all like "passionate" about it. eew. anyway, i also like the songs they used here :D

NEW HOMEWORK!!!

Anyways...

What is your favorite movie and why?

Well, I'd have to say that my favorite movie of all time would be the Lord of the Rings. Its is not because of the uber hot actors that run across the scene with their swords, amuck et all, wearing prosthetic pointy ears and pointy shoes, and wearing clothes that somewhat look like a woman's dress gone wrong. It is not because of the really cool special effects (although it added to the over all coolness and appeal of the movie). But I liked it best because of the story line. I love books that were made by J.R.R. Tolkien, and it began with my fancy with the Hobbit (I really hope they make a movie about that book too). So there, I am not a shallow movie watcher that favors movies with really good looking actors with hair that looks better than my own but I always take a look at the story, after all, if the actors cant act, you can always look at the over all product and judge it as a whole. And as a whole one can say that this movie was quite good. And the entire trilogy is what I'm talking about, by the way.

Like I said, I like drawing things and not painting, but in any way, this is very old and is the main butterfly of our art video. So, obtain meaning if ever...

And it's almost Christmas, oh happy joy! And we have like, what? 6 projects/homeworks to do (done with the individual ones, need to meet friends for other shtuffies). Anyways, I'd like to greet everyone A MERRIER CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPIER NEW YEAR!!!

MONOCHROME IMPERSONATOR Extraordinare...

came up with several versions of this... Am finally figuring that i may actually over work it... can I help it? Could I help it? oh well....

I just put that there since my background is black... thought the contrast would be nice, but anyhow, I hate painting!!! (I just like drawing, apparentlyhot pink and orange checkers dont go together, I have poor color coordination, damn it). And the little monochrome going on can be done in paint(amazingly there is more use to it, and you can find it when you're extremely bored).

Anyways, Asides from the complete boredom that has surrounded me lately, and the inevitable passage of horse back riding and hoping not to fall off from the horse itself (as it has occurred before, and I might go to Baguio as well)...........

I SURVIVED HELL WEEK 3 TIMES OVER!!!

Yes, and we are now on sembreak having fun and waiting for the time to be able to go out and about... COLLECTING CANDY!!!!!!!

YES!! Halloween is here!! Trick or treating is fun and you get to be able to get as much candy as you like (as long as you have the strength to go out and about, dressed as absolute weirdos (thinking of coming as myself or witch, i think my nose can pull it off) and walk more than ten kilometers!). Still waiting for the availability of boots to complete the outfit if I may, or otherwise, I may be looking like a professional horseback rider with even the distinct whip (hehe :P) for Halloween (thank God there aint any horses here, I'll just stick to carosels instead).

Exams were a "killer", with what I expected to be the killer actually turning out to be easier than I expected. But beyond that, I am just glad to get it over with... One more sem to go before summer... :) But bye-bye WR and friends :(.....

Life continues...

Well... exams are soon to come...

Here are some links to some art projects my batch did. It's pretty good. Poor Rosie (WAWA!!), and if you look carefully at the one I'm in, you can actually see me slip (just saying it now so you dont laugh at it som much later). At least they didnt add the one where I was running like a girl (when I dropped everything and ran for my friend in near tears, and more laughter) from a spider web (well, whaddya think? I'm a guy?).
